Sathyam-Merta 10MW Biomass Projects
Sathyam Merta is a 10 MW mustard-based biomass project, developed through a 50/50 joint venture between Focal Energy and the Sanjay
Bagrodia group. The project began active development in the middle of 2009 and is expected to begin operations by the end of 2010. The
plant has a 15-year PPA with the state utility of Rajasthan at an attractive tariff. In addition to equity contribution by Focal and the Bagrodia
groups, the project is financed with a loan from local banks at the ratio of 66%. Development of the project is progressing on time and on
budget.
